On 900th Day Since Schalit's Capture Hamas Heightens Securit

Thursday, December 11th, 2008 marks the 900th day that Israeli soldier Gilad Schalit has been held captive by Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip. On the same day Hamas leaders in Gaza raised security levels around the Israeli hostage amid concerns that Israel may launch a commando operation to attempt to rescue Schalit in upcoming days. Speaking on the occasion, Livni said that while everyone in Israel wants Gilad to come back home, part of the willingness to fight is the understanding that the country has no other choice but to continue fighting. 12/11/08
